The Role

We are looking for a skilled and driven Tax Semi Senior to take ownership of a portfolio of clients, with a focus on personal tax returns, rental accounts, and VFD (Virtual Finance Director) support. You will also contribute to tax planning, advisory work and support our junior team members in their development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and provide preparation of personal tax returns, trust tax returns and rental accounts services

• Deliver VFD services including forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting

• Support senior team members with tax planning projects and technical advisory work

• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely correspondence with HMRC

• Assist in technical research and documentation of advisory insights

• Mentor and support junior staff with training and development, sharing your technical expertise

Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA / CTA

• Experience preparing personal tax returns and working with small business clients.

• Strong technical understanding of UK tax regulations

• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client-centric approach

• Confidence using cloud-based accounting software

• Comfortable collaborating across teams and stepping into advisory conversations

• A team player with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation
