Semi-Senior Accountant – Grimsby

The role
Our client is a well-established firm providing accountancy, tax and payroll services to their clients – serving a variety of business sizes. With their firm rapidly growing, they are looking to welcome a Semi-Senior Accountant to their team.
You will be responsible for running your client portfolio, providing them with the full spectrum of accounting, tax and business advice.
Your duties will include

Preparation of formal statutory financial statements for all types of business structures, including sole traders, partnerships and small to medium-sized limited companies

Preparation of tax computations and tax liabilities

Production of individual’s self assessment tax returns

Undertaking of VAT return reviews on behalf of clients, as well as internal bookkeeping clients

Liaising with HM Revenue and Customs on behalf of clients

Responding to ad-hoc client queries, ensuring that they are dealt with promptly and efficiently

Taking client calls

Attending client meetings

Job planning and management
What you’ll bring to the table

AAT qualified
-
Experience of working in an accounting role

Good computer literacy skills

Excellent customer service skills
-
Reliable and effective workload management, and confident with working to tight deadlines

Must be a team player

Confident communicator, with solid interpersonal skills – especially speaking to clients and providers on the phone

Willingness to learn

Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
