The role

Our client looks to hire an Assistant Accountant at 21-25 hours a week (there is the potential for this to become full time). In this role, you will support the Managing Director, your tasks will include:

  • CIS bookkeeping
  • Payroll
  • Accounts preparation
  • Cash flow management

What you bring to the table

  • AAT-qualified
  • 2-3 years of strong proven experience working within a practice  
  • High proficiency of Xero and QuickBooks
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office – including, Excel and Word
  • Great attention to detail
  • Reliable, effective workload management and ability to work autonomously (but not afraid to ask questions when you need clarification)
  • Confident communicator, with solid interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Proactive with a can-do attitude to problem solving
  • Xero certification ideal but not mandatory
  • Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
