Accountant – Contractor (UK, Remote)

Are you an ACCA – FCCA qualified UK accountant looking for some flexibility and the opportunity to work in a fully remote role? We have a fantastic part-time contractor opportunity with a lovely accountancy practice in Bodmin.

About the role and workplace

This is a fully remote role. As a remote contractor, you will support their clients with accounts review and submission. Our client is a family-owned, cloud-based firm in Bodmin, Cornwall. They are focused on adding value to their clients in ways that traditional accounting practices do not.

What you bring to the table

You have a great work ethic, ready to hit the ground running with first-class time-management skills and good attention to detail. With confident communication skills, you have experience successfully working in a remote or hybrid environment.

• ACCA – FCCA qualification 
• At least 4 years of experience working in a client-facing practice environment
• Extensive experience with UK GAAP
• Skills across accounts and general accountancy practice services
• Familiarity with cloud accounting software is an advantage
• Strong working knowledge of Xero, Sage, Excel, Word and (ideally) IRIS
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Flexible attitude to work and the ability to work as part of a busy team, to ensure the overall efficiency
• Effective time management skills to ensure that all jobs are completed efficiently and within budget
• Must be based in and have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
