Accountant – Bicester

Our client is looking for a newly-qualified Accountant who is passionate about customer service and knows that it’s about more than just getting the numbers right. This role involves:

• Producing and reviewing statutory accounts for clients, ranging from sole traders up to businesses with £1 million turnover
• Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and how you can support them in the growth of their business
• When necessary, review the work of more junior members of the team or outsourcer to ensure the work goes out to the client right the first time.
• Adhere to the firm’s client care policy
• Develop and manage turnaround time to a target agreed upon with the Director
• Assisting clients with tax queries when required
• Add value to basic services (management accounts, taxation, business advice, payroll, bookkeeping, and company formation)

This role will suit someone newly qualified and looking to play an integral role in a growing practice. You have excellent people and project management skills and a passion for helping your clients grow with accurate accounts and helpful business advice.You aren’t afraid to get stuck in to solve a problem. You know how to maximise efficiency through technology, and you have a broad range of skills from accounting to taxation.

Is this you?

• Newly qualified ACCA
• High organisational and communication skills
• Hands-on problem-solver with a passion to help others
• Sound project management skills with some experience in successfully managing a client portfolio
• Experience producing statutory accounts, as well as good tax knowledge
• Strong working knowledge of Xero, Taxcalc, Sage, and Quickbooks
