Senior Accountant – Central London (Hybrid)

Are you a qualified accountant with extensive client-facing experience who is looking to progress to director level within 18 months? Do you prefer the family-feel of a small practice when compared to a larger organisation? Our accounting practice client is actively seeking a Senior Accountant to join their office in Central London and work alongside the current director. 

About the Role 

As a Senior Accountant you will speak to clients, supply them with tax advice, and statutory accounts. The practice has grown rapidly recently and the director now needs more help at board level. In this role you will work closely with the director from the first day, with the intention of getting to director level in time. In this role, you will: 

• Complete statutory accounts and VAT work, as well as provide tax advise to clients
• Be hands-on with your clients, ensuring they are well looked after
• Work closely with the director, progressing the director level within 18 months
• Problem-solve, analyse, and advise for clients 
• Work on business development and client acquisition 

This role is based from the client’s Central London office and hybrid working is available.

About You 

• ACA/ACCA qualified 
• 4+ years of experience working in a customer-facing role within a practice 
• Extensive experience of statutory accounts, VAT, and tax 
• A good generalist and has big ambitions
• Wants to progress in your career but don’t want to go down the partnership route
• Excellent communication skills, patience, and tact 
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills
• Experience with managing or supervising a team is advantageous 
• Curious and team-oriented 
• Relationship-builder
