Head Bookkeeper (Part-Time) – Remote

We are actively recruiting a part-time, remote Head Bookkeeper to join a modern and establish Chancery Lane accountancy practice. Our client, Philip Friede & Co, tailors to a niche client base of barristers and legal professionals. This is an exciting opportunity for a bookkeeper looking to work for a practice that has great relationships with their clients.

THE ROLE

• End-to-end bookkeeping using Xero and Dext
• Predominantly focus on VAT
• Leading the team of Bookkeepers
• Liaising with the Partner
• A talent for explaining financial “stuff” and jargon to clients in simple and clear terms
• Communicating with clients as and when required to obtain necessary information

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is passionate about using technology in accounting and has excellent communication and organisational skills. You are a fully experienced bookkeeper, adept with handling several clients at a time.

• At least 2-3 years experience in practice (or a combination of practice experience and working with your own clients)
• Strong working knowledge of Xero and Dext
• Good IT skills
• The ability to lead a team
• Ability to prioritise your workload in order to accurately and efficiently work to deadlines
• Problem-solver, ready and confident to find answers for things you don’t know
• Good, confident telephone manner and overall communication and interpersonal skills

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

• Salary: up to £35,000 pro-rata (DOE)
• Location: London, fully remote
• Part time (25 hours per week)
